At Basal’s Play Lab, there’s no shortage of educational activities for kids—and there’s plenty of enjoyment for the parents, as well!

For your kids, it’s not just play—though it’s just as fun. Functional play is designed to help your child develop meaningful life skills while enjoying every second of it. The best part is that you’ll be there through it all, encouraging your little one while getting acquainted with other parents. Who knew family activities could be so educational?

Our Play Lab was thoughtfully designed by a team of professionals with extensive training in childhood development and education, including experts in speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, preschool education, and mental health. While our therapists may not be present during your visit, their expertise has shaped the environment and activities to support meaningful, developmentally appropriate play.

Play Lab experiences are overall family activities, but the “play” aspect is designed for children ages 15 months to four years old.

A one hour exploration of functional play activities that encourage creativity and development. You can expect supervised free play with rotating themes to keep things fresh. Parents are expected to remain present in the Play Lab for the duration of the play group.

Ready to book your Play Lab session and discover expertly planned educational activities for kids? Use the calendar below to select a date and time. Each session lasts one hour, and a parent or caregiver must remain present for the entire visit.

$12.00 per child, per group for an hour-long class. Parent attendance is included in this cost!
