Meet Caroline Santos

As a compassionate and client-centered therapist, I specialize in children and family therapy, with a particular focus on working with neurodivergent children and families. My approach is grounded in understanding the unique strengths and challenges that neurodivergent individuals face, and I use evidence-based therapies to support emotional regulation, communication, and relationship-building for children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. I am deeply committed to helping families navigate the complexities of neurodiversity and build supportive, inclusive environments that promote growth and well-being.

In my work with children and families, I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy, tailoring interventions to meet the specific needs of each individual and family dynamic. I also emphasize collaboration with parents and caregivers, providing them with practical tools and strategies to manage challenging behaviors, foster emotional intelligence, and create positive, supportive home environments.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where individuals and families feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether working with children to build coping skills or supporting families in enhancing communication and problem-solving, my goal is to promote resilience, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of connection.

In addition to my clinical work, I provide clinical supervision to LGPCs (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors) and LMSWs (Licensed Master Social Workers) as they work toward licensure. I am passionate about guiding emerging clinicians in their professional development, offering a supportive and reflective environment where they can explore complex cases, hone their therapeutic skills, and develop confidence in their clinical judgment. My supervision approach is rooted in a strengths-based, ethical framework, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.

I help supervisees navigate the challenges of clinical practice, providing guidance on case conceptualization, treatment planning, and ethical decision-making, while fostering an understanding of the nuances of working with diverse populations, including neurodivergent clients. Additionally, I prioritize self-care and professional well-being, helping supervisees manage burnout and maintain a sustainable work-life balance.

Whether I am supporting children and their families or mentoring mental health professionals, my work is driven by a deep commitment to promoting understanding, healing, and positive change. I strive to empower both clients and supervisees to grow, thrive, and succeed in their personal and professional journeys.

I’d love the opportunity to work with you on your journey.
